Riverview East Karate's dojo opened to students in the fall of 2020. Since then, the club has grown to include over 100 students. Sensei Angie and Duane LeBlanc operate the karate program out of the Riverview Community Hall in Riverview, NB.
Shotokan Karate offers many benefits! Aside from developing knowledge of self-defense, students gain greater focus, increased self-esteem, increased self-discipline, calmness, and a more positive attitude. The main focus of Shotokan Karate training is the perfection of character.
The dojo offers classes three days a week for students aged 6 years and up. Many families train together at Riverview East Karate and we believe that families who kick together, stick together.
The club hosts special guest instructors, holds special events, participates in tournaments, and belt testings to help keep students motivated while working toward their black belt. A black belt represents an achievement through years of dedication and commitment. It symbolizes hard work, self-discipline, and perseverance.
